Playing Single Notes

tongue blocking (my way)

• blocking means blocking unwanted notes

• curl tongue (if you can)

• feel holes

• plays precise single notes

• notes cannot be bent

Blow or draw only as hard as needed to obtain the note.  This improves tone and makes the reeds last longer.

Genetics determine if you can curl your tongue.  So if you can't, just move on to lip blocking.  If you decide to try tongue blocking my way, strive for clear tone.
