Ansel Adams posters

Many believe that Ansel Adams originated fine art photography.  Most of Ansel Adams' work was of the American west.  Ansel Adams was one of the creaters of the zone system, a technique for photographers to translate the light they see and interpret how to capture it in photographic prints.  Several notable Ansel Adams posters are available.  Perhaps his most famous image, the Ansel Adams poster of the famous Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico, 1941.  Another favorite is the Ansel Adams poster Monolith, The Face of Half Dome, 1927.  Another beautiful image is the Ansel Adams photograph Aspens, New Mexico, 1958.  A beautiful classic AnselAdams image available as a poster is Clearing Winter Storm, 1940.

Ansel Adams' photograph The Tetons and the Snake River was one of the 116 images recorded on the Voyager Golden Record aboard the Voyager spacecraft. In 1980 President Jimmy Carter awarded Ansel Adams the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
